LEARN ENGLISH with music

Are you tired of trying to learn English the traditional way - by simply memorizing vocabulary words and grammar rules? While that can be very effective, it can also be boring. Let's look at how music can make learning English easier and more upbeat!
Memorable Lyrics
Do you have a favorite English song? Find its lyrics on the Internet, and print them out. Each time you listen to the song, sing along. Soon, you will know the words by heart, which means you've just memorized new words and expressions that you can actually use! In addition, singing along to match the singer's voice can improve your pronunciation and word stress.
Stimulating Songs
Songs can also improve your listening and critical thinking skills. The next time you listen to an English song, close your eyes and listen to carefully. Try to pick out any words you know and even some you don't, and write them down.Use the lyrics, the expression in the singer's voice, and the song's tune to from a picture in your mind about the song's true meaning. Keep in mind, however, that native speakers even have a hard time distinguishing words in many fast-paced songs!
Soothing Classics
We all have times where we find it difficult or stressful to study. Thankfully, a remedy for this also lies in music! Just pop in a classical music CD while you study - it's great for relaxation. It also helps you concentrate more, focus on what you're studying and increases your ability to memorize words. In addition, it eliminates other distracting or irritating sounds around you.

All That Jazz
The next time you need to memorize lists of vocabulary or expressions, try making them into a "Jazz Chat". Think of a simple and steady beat. Clap your hands or tap your feet to help you create a steady rhythm. Then start reading your new vocabulary words or phrases out loud, stressing the sounds of words or important phrases. Don't be afraid to break out into song, singing or chanting the new words and phrases out loud.
Time to Rhyme
In school, we sometimes use rhymes to help us remember facts, such as the Alphabet Song. These rhymes make learning facts so much easier! Try making rhymes out of simple grammar rules or new vocabulary. You will remember things quicker, and you will have fun!
